Maison Moderne
Peoria, ArizonaWhole-Home RenovationTucked within a private cul-de-sac in the West Valley, this 12,000-square-foot residence is proof that a home with exceptional bones only needs the right vision to become something extraordinary. Built in 2014 with a decidedly traditional character, Maison Moderne represents a thoughtful transformation — one that honors the grandeur of the original architecture while replacing its heavier sensibility with something warmer, fresher, and more current.
The design works entirely within the existing footprint, layering new millwork detailing, a refined material palette, and a cohesive transitional vision across the full first floor. A mix of creamy painted and stain-grade millwork, warm white oak floors, limestone fireplace surrounds, soft beige herringbone firebrick, and warm marble countertops establish a palette that feels simultaneously timeless and of-the-moment. Arched, stain-grade wrapped openings connect the rooms in a quiet rhythm of warmth and craft.
The kitchen is the undisputed heart of the home — a two-toned culinary sanctuary anchored by a La Cornue Grand Palais range, custom millwork hood, warm marble countertops, and a steel-and-glass pantry door. Beautiful and hardworking in equal measure.
